Ride tracking
Never miss
your stop.
Pick where you get off. CityTransit tells you when to leave, board and step off, even with your screen off.
Free on iPhone and Android · works in 160+ cities
Leave at exactly the right time.
Say where you are getting off and CityTransit counts down your walk to the stop. It weighs your walking time against every bus's live arrival, so it points you at the one you can actually catch.
Told before your stop, not after.
A live bar follows you over every screen. When your stop is next you get a heads-up, then a clear Get off now. If you do miss it, the app says so.
Three taps to a calmer ride.
Pick your bus
From any stop, tap Track, choose a bus and tap Start Trip.
Choose your stop
Pick it from the stops still to come. Not sure? Choose Last stop.
Ride. We will tell you.
Walk, wait, ride and step off with a live card and alerts.
Free on iPhone and Android
Works when your signal doesn't.
Your get-off alerts are worked out on your phone, so a tunnel or a weak signal does not stop them. They reach you from the notification bar, screen off or on.
Questions
What is ride tracking?
Ride tracking follows your trip on your phone. Pick your bus, say where you are getting off, and CityTransit tells you when to leave, when to board and when to step off, with a live card, a bar over every screen and notifications that work with the screen off.
How does CityTransit know when to tell me to get off?
It follows your phone's position against the stops of your bus. It warns you when your stop is next, tells you to get off at the stop, and lets you know if you passed it. These alerts are worked out on your phone, so a tunnel or a weak signal does not stop them.
What if my stop is skipped by a detour?
CityTransit tells you your stop is skipped today and offers the nearest stop before it. You can switch to that stop, or keep yours and be told when to get off at the nearest served stop.
Is ride tracking free, and where can I get it?
Yes, ride tracking is free to use. It is in the CityTransit app for iPhone and Android, in 160+ cities.
